Services / Productivity Assessment
START HERE
Find where productivity is leaking — before you commit.
Not sure where productivity is being lost? A Productivity Assessment gives you a fact-based starting point before you commit to software or services. It works from the data you already have.
AT A GLANCE
STARTS WITH
The shipment, rate and invoice data you already have
SYSTEM ACCESS
None required
YOUR DATA
A mutual NDA is signed before any data moves
SCOPE & TIMING
Agreed with you before any work begins
YOU LEAVE WITH
A recommended starting point and a proposed plan for the next step
WHEN IT HELPS
Start here if you recognize one of these.
You don't need to know which product or service you need. Finding that out is what the assessment is for.
FINANCIAL LEAKAGE
“We pay freight invoices we can't fully check.”
EXECUTION GAP
“Our team spends the day chasing shipments.”
INTELLIGENCE GAP
“We have data, but no clear priorities.”
COST
“Our carrier rates haven't been tested in years.”
NETWORK
“Our network was built for a different business.”
GOVERNANCE GAP
“Too much depends on one or two people.”
WHAT IT COVERS
A clear view of cost, time and control.
What we look at
—
Execution: how shipments are planned, tendered and tracked
—
Freight spend: whether invoices match what was agreed
—
Data and visibility: whether the information you need exists and is trusted
—
Governance: who owns decisions and how gains are kept
What you receive
—
A view of where cost, time and control are being lost
—
A prioritized list of opportunities
—
A recommended starting point: one layer, one service or one site
—
A proposed scope and plan for the next step
What we need from you
—
The shipment, rate and invoice data you already have
—
Time with the people who run the work
—
A sponsor who owns the outcome
HOW IT WORKS
Four steps, agreed with you up front.
Scope and timing are agreed with you before any work begins.
01
Agree the scope
We agree the questions, sites and timing with your sponsor. A mutual NDA is signed before any data moves.
02
Send your data
Send extracts as they exist, from as many systems as needed. We validate them and return a gap report first.
03
Analyse
We link everything into one transportation master dataset, then analyse cost, service and settlement.
04
Review together
We review the findings and opportunities with your team and agree a recommended starting point.
● No system access required
● Works alongside your ERP, TMS and WMS
● No obligation to proceed
THE DATA
Seventeen elements. Twelve months. One master dataset.
These elements usually live in more than one system and arrive as more than one extract — send them however they exist. Most recent 12 consecutive months; line-item detail is fine, and we consolidate to movement level.
IDENTITY & LINKAGE
01
Shipment / Load ID
Links execution, service and settlement records
02
Carrier Invoice Number
Shipment-to-invoice matching and duplicate detection
03
Purchase Order / Order Reference
Connects freight back to sales and procurement
04
Business Unit / Site
Reports results by division, plant or region
LANE & TIMING
05
Origin Postal / ZIP + Country
Distance, lane density and network geometry
06
Destination Postal / ZIP + Country
Plus consignee and destination concentration
07
Actual Ship Date
Volume seasonality and peak-to-average ratio
08
Required / Planned Delivery Date
The commitment service is measured against
09
Actual Delivery Date
On-time performance and true transit time
LOAD & MODE
10
Mode
TL, LTL, intermodal, parcel, air, ocean
11
Equipment Type & Length
Dry van, reefer, flatbed, tanker, bulk, container, etc.
12
Weight + Unit of Measure
Cost per unit and density
13
Pallet or Case Count
Utilization, consolidation and mode conversion
COST & SETTLEMENT
14
Carrier Name or SCAC
Carrier mix, concentration and performance
15
Total Freight Cost as Invoiced
The spend baseline every saving is measured against
16
Linehaul / Fuel / Accessorial Split
Accessorial leakage and fuel-program exposure
17
Currency
Any currency; normalized on published FX rates
How to send it
—
Multiple systems and multiple extracts are expected
—
Note the source of each: TMS, ERP, WMS or carrier invoices
—
CSV or Excel, raw system output — no cleansing required
—
We link and reconcile them into one master dataset
—
Secure transfer link provided on request
—
Mutual NDA before any data moves governs handling
If an element is unavailable, leave it out: what is missing is itself a finding.
WHAT THE ANALYSIS PRODUCES
Findings you can act on, labelled for what they are.
1
Cost per shipment, per unit and per mile, by lane
2
On-time performance and true transit against commitment
3
Carrier mix, concentration and rate dispersion
4
Accessorial and fuel-surcharge leakage
5
Consolidation and mode-conversion opportunity
6
A quantified savings range with confidence bands
Identified opportunity
Opportunities from an assessment are quantified before implementation. They are not results until they are measured against your baseline. How we label evidence →
AFTER THE ASSESSMENT
One layer, one service or one site.
The assessment ends with a recommended starting point and a proposed plan. You decide whether and how to go further.
ONE LAYER
Start with a product
Begin with the layer that answers your most pressing question — Axxis, OnGaard, Bearing or Atlas.
ONE SERVICE
Start with a service
Managed Services, Supply Chain Engineering or Advisory & Transformation, sized to what the assessment found.
ONE SITE
Start with one site
Prove the improvement where it matters most, then expand at your pace.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Before you get in touch.
Do we need to replace any systems?
No. The assessment works from the data your existing ERP, TMS and WMS already hold.
Do you need access to our systems?
No. You send extracts; we never need a login.
What if our data is incomplete?
Send what you have. We return a gap report first, and what is missing is itself a finding.
How long does it take, and what does it cost?
Scope and timing are agreed with you before any work begins.
Who should be involved?
A sponsor who owns the outcome, and time with the people who run the work day to day.
How is our data protected?
A mutual NDA is signed before any data moves, and it governs how your data is handled.
